Inter Atlanta FC Awarded Full MLS Next Pathway

Atlanta, GA (December 31, 2024) – Inter Atlanta FC is proud to announce that beginning with the Fall 2025-Spring 2026 season, the club will field teams from U13 to U19 in the nation’s premier youth soccer league.

Since joining MLS Next in 2020 with U13 and U14 teams, IAFC has steadily grown its presence, adding U15 this past season. With the full pathway now established, IAFC is dedicated to cultivating top-tier talent and strengthening its connection to elite soccer development in the Atlanta area, including opportunities with Atlanta United FC’s academy.


“The evolution of our great club continues to grow and thrive,” said Executive Director Kevin Kinley. “We’re ecstatic to develop and showcase our homegrown talent as well as support Atlanta United FC in their academy pipeline. We’re all proud of the club and feel this is a new start for the future of Inter Atlanta FC.”


Alongside MLS Next, IAFC continues to offer the National Academy League for boys seeking regional competition while maintaining high school eligibility. The club is also working to expand opportunities for female players, leveraging partnerships like the MLS Next and Girls Academy collaboration.
